BCIT Students Available to Work on Industry Projects

As part of a graduation requirement, BCIT Food Tech students are required to work on an industry research project one day a week from the middle of January to the end of April. Past projects have included work on HACCP plans, shelf-life studies, product development, nutritional analysis, etc. The industry sponsor is expected to direct the student with respect to the research, and must cover costs of consumables used during the project.

This is a valuable learning experience for the students, and, in turn, offers industry access to students, with no fee for the students’ time. If you have a project that you would like to submit for consideration, please contact Anne McCannel at BCIT at 604-432-8269 for more information.
